Growing Your Wild Soul Village

A 3-Month Cohort Immersion with Four Corners Community

July 28-30th, August 31-2nd, October 12-15th

We humbly seek to support the stirring embers of earth-based wisdom living in your bones. Thus we are offering this approximately 3-month cohort-based immersion to help incubate and facilitate the growth of your “Wild Soul Village”–an ecosystem of healthy mature “parts” of your own psyche and soul in relationship to the spirit-filled animate world. Each of you will emerge with greater access to your soul’s unique gifts, path, knowledge of the land you live on and a rich resilent web of relationships that serve your human and more-than-human health. Thank you and we hope you feel inspired to become our village.

Facilitators

Coulter “Gemheart”: I am a guide, healer, and facilitator of ceremonial spaces. These spaces include psychedelic journeying, seasonal and nature-based rituals, soulcraft delving, Land acknowledgement, community building, celebration, and more.  While my beliefs and guiding come from a Celtic background, my purpose is to help others find what lies deep within themselves. W-EMT, NREMT, MA Science Education, 5 Years of Medicine Facilitation, 5 years in wilderness therapy, acolyte of shamanic practitioning and soulcraft.

Deer Ryder is a wilderness and human development guide, poet-priest of the mystic wild, writer and storyteller. Deer’s primary lineage is as a “Soul Initiation Guide” apprentice with the Animas Valley Institute, a nature-based mystery school in the southwest where he trains and guides in the Nature Based Map of the Psyche and Soulcraft with a specific focus on guiding their vision quest model. He has been a dedicated meditation practioner for 9 years, as well as occasional co-facilitator, with over 100 silent retreat days primarily in the Insight tradition with both contemporary and traditional teachers. He is also a certified and experienced Wilderness First Responder. Learn more about him at his website www.mystic-wild.com

Guest Facilitators: Female embodied, TBD

Chefs/Assistant Organizers: bios coming soon.

Facilitator/Guide Acknowledgements:

Deer and Coulter acknowledge that, as the principal guides and organizers, that they are cisgendered, primarily Euro-centric, males. As such, they have recruited guest facilitators and team members who are primarily female-embodied ones from a rich diversity of ethnic and cultural traditions. They will also do their best (knowing they are imperfect) to acknowledge and attune to power and privilege dynamics. Their primary lineages draw from pan-cultural and contemporary nature-based mystical practices and western psychological traditions.

Intake Process and Anticipated Questions

I am interested and want to know more before I sign up, now what?

We’re so excited you’re interested. Yea, makes sense you have questions–send us an email below (or text if you have our numbers) and we can coordinate a call to discuss more.

Sign me up! Now what?

Intake/Interview Process: Wonderful! We will send you a comprehensive intake form that will help us assess your alignment for the program as well as give us more insight into who you are and where you’re at on your life journey.

Once you’ve submitted your intake form, we will review. If we determine you are a right fit at this time, we will set up a quick call with you to discuss your intake responses and next steps. We will ask for a deposit after that call if there is mutual alignment. Once deposit is confirmed, you are officially registered.

If we are full with a waitlist, we will send you an intake form to please complete and let you know what number you are on the waitlist. If a spot opens up, we will let you know and set up the intro call.

If we determine it’s not the best time to work together or we are full, we will send you an email letting you know and other opportunities to work together.

Cost–why?

The cost of this program has been generated based on the estimated cost of all the healthy food, local chefs, supplies, gear and materials. Additionally, we factored in a very reasonable fee of daily facilitation for Deer, Coulter, and Guest facilitators and factored none of the extensive pre-work, planning, and preparation work going into it. We also looked at programs that had similar resonance with this one and their costs and adjusted to be more affordable, both for our community and because this is admittedly an experiment in this form for both of us and participants are signing on knowing that.

What You Can Grow Through this Immersion

Grow Your Soul Village of Self: by cultivating more access to your wholeness/healthy mature parts in relationship to the wild and unseen ones through the Nature-Based Map of the Psyche, dynamic cohort-based relational and somatic practices, soulcraft, and dep listening/meditation practices (drawing from Insight/Vipassana/Eco-Dharmic traditions).

Grow your Human Soul Village: by developing intimate, heart and soul-centric relationships with local and bio-regional members of the community that will support you during the immersion and after for a more sustained communal integration–this isn’t just a “one and done” kind of event where people disperse afterwards, but continue to be in relationship with each other and their local land.

Grow Your More-Than-Human Village: by spending intimate and intentional time in the wild, learning soulcraft and other earth-based practices that help you grow your own sensitivities, skills, and attunement to the more-than-human realm–how to “listen to the silence and the whispers” and how to be in reverential and reciprocal relationship with one another for mutual health and happiness. Also learn more about the local ecologies–how to identify certain plants, animals, and patterns–by walking the land with those who have lived in this bioregion.

Soulcraft and the Ritual Arts: creating self-generated ceremony, offerings, communication and communion with the more-than-human world, somatic animal movement and embodiment.

Dreamwork: Learn how to work and be worked by your dreams more skillfully using somatic and ancient dream lineages.

Myth and storytelling: be able to speak and understand more fluently the primordial language of myth and poetry, working to reveal threads of your own soul’s unfolding story.

Dance, Music, and Art: this cauldron of community is a creative one with dance, music, and art woven throughout the entire experience.

The Greater “Why”

Like a healthy old-growth forest, a healthy village feeds and is fed by a mycelial web of material and mystical beings in reciprocal and reverential relationship with one another. Villages of vitality in traditional earth-based cultures around the world were comprised of not just the human, but the more-than-human world: nourishing and being nourished on a physical and psycho-spiritual plane by the plant beings they watered and harvested; the animal ones they tracked in awe, for wisdom and food; the elements, the unseen, and the ancestors they loved, feared, and spoke to in the language of offerings and the ritual arts.

Many of us in the modern western techno-centric culture have lost, or never learnt, these ways or know how to reanimate these relationships in a way that doesn’t culturally appropriate. The result is that our individual ecosystems have been sterilized and stunted, spreading to our friends, families, and communities as a whole.

Our cohort will support each other’s work as singular human ecosystems that will spread into supporting our cohort-community, then stretch its growing strands of Soul to the wider earth-based community.

By the “end” of our time together, we intend that each of you will emerge with a more rich and resilient web of relationships within your Self, Land, Human, More-than-Human, and the Unseen who see you. Thank you and we hope you feel inspired enough to become our village.
